Direct & Indirect Geysers

Direct Geysers

Direct geysers are coupled directly to a collector. This means that the water that is inside the geyser is also flowing through the collector. So the transfer medium to heat up the water inside this geyser is the water itself. Normally this system is also cheaper and does not need maintenance.

Indirect Geysers

These geysers have a coil or in many cases, a bladder installed inside the geyser. The panel will be coupled to the geyser and glycol (Food Grade) will be inserted into the panel and the coil of the geyser. This means that the water inside the geyser itself cannot get into the panel. The glycol will make the system freeze protected. This system, however, does have maintenance. Replacing Glycol every two years is advisable.
